The Mews: 15th to 21st December

Dec 22, 2014

Miaowy Greetings everybody and Merry Christmas!!!

Only 3 days to go until the most purrrfect day of the year! How will you be spending yours? Myself and Mrs Purrington are having a quiet one this year so I'm very much looking forward to stretching my paws and relaxing.

Anyway, for my last Mews Report of the year I really wanted to thank everybody for their generosity this Christmas, on behalf of the staff and animals here at the Centre. We're all paw-sitively beaming with happiness at the response to the Christmas Dinner Appeal, not to mention all the wonderful presents that have been left under the tree and in the Santa sack in Reception. The animals here will definitely have a Christmas to remember! And your generosity means that the staff can also treat the animals in the New Year.

Now, on to the Mews from the past week:

Headlines

Park Bikeworks announced that they will be holding a fundraiser for us tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd. If you pop down anytime during the day with your dog and buy a drink or a meal, they will donate part of the costs to the Centre. You can also have a picture taken with your dog and the top 10 photographs will win a prize. Please do show your support!

Adoptions

14 animals were adopted this week including Hugo the kitten. It's just paw-some to think that he'll be spending his first Christmas in a home being loved rather than in a cat pod. Good luck Hugo!

Arrivals

3 cats and 5 dogs arrived at the Centre this week. Although it's sad that these fellows won't be in a home at Christmas, they will be well looked after and will have a lovely Christmas Day with all the treats and toys that have been donated.

Anyway, this is me signing off for Christmas!

Thank you to everybody who has supported the Centre this past year. Everybody is so grateful! My next Mews Report will be in the New Year!
