We recently wrote a post about how dogs, particularly Staffordshire Bull Terriers, are sadly overlooked when they have brindle markings and how because of this, it unfortunately takes them a lot longer to find new homes. This blog post is dedicated to showing off our brindle bunch who are desperately seeking loving homes of their own and are just waiting for the right family to stop outside their kennel doors…
Bruno is a 3 year old BRINDLE Staffordshire bull terrier who unfortunately came into our centre when his owner became too poorly to take care of him. Bruno is a dog with a lot of love to give and just loves to be around people! Sadly Bruno is finding his time in kennels very stressful as although the staff try their best, he can’t get the 1-1 TLC and companionship that he craves. His ideal home would be an active one, where he could get nice long walks and plenty of play time to help burn off some of that loveable staffy energy! Of course he would love a home where he could be with people most of the day and as he needs some refresher training – previous dog owning experience would be beneficial. Bruno would rather be the only pet in the home and as he is a bouncy boy, a home with children old enough to play with him safely is a must! (12 ) He behaves impeccably well when out walking and is a favourite amongst our dog walkers as he doesn’t pull and always thanks them with a nice kiss at the end of the trip out! Bruno will make such a rewarding and loving pet for the right family so please come down to the centre and meet him if you think he sounds like the boy for you!
Zara is a 4 year old, BRINDLE, Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has sadly not had any interest since her arrival into the centre. This is such a shame as she is a lovely sweet natured girl who just wanting to make you happy. Zara is quite small for a staffy which makes her an ideal size for a family! She is full of energy and loves to play a variety of different games including fetch and tuggy! She is a dream to walk and doesn’t pull in the slightest. Zara would love a family to call her own, ideally one where she wouldn’t be left for too long during the day as sadly that was her reason for coming into the shelter for rehoming. She knows her basic obedience and so wouldn’t need much work doing with her, just the odd reminder session every now and then. She would be fine with children 10 and would make an excellent playmate! If Zara sounds like she could be the girl for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch because you won’t be disappointed with what you find here waiting for you!
Lilly is a little star, she is 4 years old and was transferred to our branch from another shelter where unfortunately she hadn’t found her forever home! She was a little shy when she first came in but the staff soon realised she had a heart of gold however Lily doesn’t like the kennels and so can be a little stand offish when people are viewing her! This is hard for the staff to see as once you get her out of that environment, she is a different dog entirely! She is full of love and has such a cheeky playful nature; her favourite thing in the world is her squeaky ball! Lilly needs a home where she would be the only pet as other dogs tend to make her nervous, she would be fine with children 10 and would make a very loving and loyal companion for somebody who was willing to give her the chance she deserves. If you’d like more information on our lovely Lilly, please contact the centre.
Last but by no means least are two very special girls who we are putting a special appeal out for…a beautiful pair of brindle staffies who are mother and daughter and who would love nothing more than finding a forever home TOGETHER!
TIA AND BESSIE
Tia aged 8 and Bessie aged 5 came into our centre after being rescued by an RSPCA Inspector, they had sadly become unwanted through no fault of their own and so had been forced to spend their days outside in a small garden shed. As soon as they arrived the staff could see that this experience had not dampened the girls’ spirits as they were eager to show how sweet and loving they were towards anybody in kissing distance! One of the sweetest things we saw in regards to this loving pair is after a few weeks in our care, when all of their vaccinations had been administered – we took them for a walk to our local park and saw them experience grass for the first time in what we can only assume was a long time! All they wanted to do was run and play and it was so heart-warming to see the looks on their little faces! Tia and Bessie will make wonderful additions to most families as they are great with people and seem especially happy in the company of children (10 ) who really bring out their playful nature! They do need some basic obedience but walk very nicely whilst out in public and are simply eager to make lots of human friends! These dogs will make somebody wonderful pets and are just waiting for the right person to stop by their kennel and show them what being part of a family is all about! If you are looking for some love and laughter to join your family, please get in touch with the centre and ask about this gorgeous pair of pooches!
