What is an MOT month?

May 04, 2015

What is an MOT month?

Our first MOT month is now upon us! Throughout the year we run a programme of events called MOT months, whereby we partner with local vets to offer low-cost treatments, such as neutering and vaccinations.

How do the MOT months work?

If you would like to sign your pet up for a treatment, come to our Animal Centre on Abbey Street to pay for the treatment. You receive a voucher and then book the appointment yourself with the vet surgery. When you take your pet for the treatment you simply hand in the voucher and it's as simple as that!

When and where are they?

The next MOT months on the list are as follows:

May - Companion Care, Pets at Home, Kingsway

July - Jamiesons Vets, Ilkeston

For further information on both of these, and to view when new ones arise, have a look at our vet services page.

Why should I make use of these?

Certain treatments for your animal can be very costly, but these are essential to ensure your pet remains happy and healthy. By taking advantage of our MOT months you can ensure these are affordable. Have a look at the reasons why procedures such as neutering and microchipping are so important on our responsible pet ownership pages.
