This week alone we have had 13 new kittens brought to the centre from various places, and we are now reaching crisis point with the sheer number of cats and kittens needing our help. Every single pod is full in all of our catteries, with yet more in foster homes, including pregnant cats - which means more hungry mouths on the way! So far we have rehomed 19 cats in July, but we are struggling to balance the number of cats leaving with the number arriving and it's very stressful at the centre at the moment trying to fit everybody in!
We are reaching out to our followers for help as the centre is completely snowed under with cats and we need to raise awareness and try to help all of the kitties in our care. Would you like to help?
The easiest way to help would be to simply spread the word - let people know that we have lots of beautiful pets desperate for homes and encourage friends and family to consider adopting a pet rather than buying from a breeder. These animals are all waiting for a second chance to find a loving home and many of them have had a tough start, so deserve lots of love and care.
Are you looking for a pet yourself? Check out our rehoming pages to see a selection of the cats and kittens seeking new families, and remember we have new animals arriving every day that will be available soon. It's definitely worth dropping us an email if you are interested in adopting, or pop down to the centre to speak to us. Our staff members are all friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have.
We would also encourage people to look past colour when adopting a cat or kitten. Black kittens are inevitably last to be adopted and can stay with us for weeks as their ginger, tabby, grey, tortie and white littermates are adopted and taken home. Coat colour does not affect their personality and black cats make wonderful pets - just like any other colour!
If you are not in a position to take on a cat but would still like to help the animals at the centre, we are always in need of wet kitten and cat food, blankets, towels and toys such as jingly balls, mice, scratch posts, even just cardboard boxes! Kittens love boxes and they would happily play all day with them and anything else they can get their paws on!
Thank you for all your support, we are always grateful for any help our wonderful followers provide. Now let's get some homes for our beautiful cats and kittens!
