The animals we rescue rely entirely on the generosity of people like you. We simply can’t help them without you. Please support our work by making a donation.

University Placements

We welcome students from University who wish to undertake placements with us. Students have a unique opportunity to experience the daily workings of an animal welfare organisation. Please see the options below.

If you are interested in an animal care placement, contact Lucy Bell or on 01332 344620.

For information on events placements contact Kerry Draper  or on 01332 344620.

For information on events placements contact Jacqui Kelly for further details.

Please note that unfortunately we are not able to offer paid placements.

Animal Care

If you are studying a degree related to animal care, which requires a placement year, please do get in touch with us. We will be able to discuss the possibility of spending a year in our Animal Centre, during which you will gain valuable experience in animal care, rehabilitation, health and rehoming.

Events Management

Our Branch runs many fundraising events throughout the year and welcome events management placement students. We are able to give students a real, hands-on experience from the early planning stages right through to delivery of the event. As we are a small team placement students have the chance to get really stuck in and take responsibilities for events.

Retail Management

Our Branch currently has four charity shops and there is the option to join one of them if your studies are in this area.

If you are undertaking a degree requiring you to spend a placement year in a different area of the business, get in touch and we can investigate whether we will be able to accommodate you.

Short-term placements

As well as our year-long placements, we are also always happy to hear from students wishing to stay for just a few months with us. This can be throughout the summer or during term time. If you have a specific project you wish to undertake with us we can discuss the possibility of this.
