This wonderful lady is currently on foster and is doing really well. Age is but a number to her and she is really smart and doesn't act her grand 17 years.
Although she is super cute, Maisie is a strong independent female. She enjoys a good fuss and love but doesn't like to be picked up or overly handled, for this reason we would not rehome her with children.
She has lived with a cat previously, so could live with a cat in her new home.
While on foster, she lives with 3 small calm dogs, who she gets on really well with, so her new home could also have other small calm dogs.
Due to Maisie's age, she does require a bit more care and attention than most dogs. Although she is house trained, when she needs to go she needs to go, so would need someone at home the majority of the time to avoid any accidents. She also doesn't like to be left for more than an hour at a time.
Thankfully Maisie is spending her time with a great fosterer, but she should be in her own forever home at this time in her life - she's been through so many changes yet she has continued to be the happy and lovely dog we all love.
Please don't be put off by her age. Old dogs need love too.
