Christmas Appeal update (3rd January 2020):

A huge thank you to everybody who donated to this appeal which raised an amazing £1280.  This has made a real difference to all the animals in our care over the Christmas period and will continue to support our work into the new year.  As you will appreciate our dachshunds have been incredibly popular and now all have found loving homes to start their new lives.

Thank you for all the interest in rehoming these special little dogs but please remember we have other dogs also looking for their forever home.  On average it costs us £450 to care for a dog during its stay with us. Most of the dogs that we receive into our care require extensive veterinary treatment ranging from dentals, skin treatments and eye complaints and at times limb amputations. At Abbey Street Animal Rehoming Centre we like to give every dog a chance at a new life whether young or old, cross breed or pedigree and after receiving all their treatments endeavour to find them their forever home.  If you are interested in any of our other dogs then all applications need to come through animals@rspcaderby.org.uk.
