Following our recent appeal to raise money for Louie's surgery, he is booked in for the operation next week π Now our Louie finds kennels a bit much and doesn't like being on his own, so we're worried that this stress will slow down his healing. We really want to find a foster home where Louie can spend his recovery in peace, being given all the love he could wish for.
Here's the type of foster home Louie needs:
πΆ No other dogs
π‘ A quiet home with a secure garden so he can use the toilet and gently exercise as he recovers
π Someone who can stay at home with him
π Located within a 30 minute drive of our centre
π Someone with transport to bring Louie back to the centre for check-ups
If you can offer our Louie a foster home while he recovers, please get in touch as soon as possible. Email [email protected] and we will send you a quick form to fill in, we will then contact you if you are suitable.
Please keep our boy in your thoughts and send him all your love π
Louie's story.
Louie has been diagnosed with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome or BOAS and needs life-changing surgery to widen his nasal passages and remove the skin folds and excess tissue in his nose, throat and soft palate. Itβs a big operation but it is vital that Louie has it done, and our vets have said they will operate as soon as possible.
We are a completely self-funded charity, so we have to raise all the money for surgeries like this ourselves.
We launched an appeal to raise the Β£950 for Louie's life-changing surgery, and we were absolutely blown away by the response! β¨We raised all the money in 24 hoursβ¨
Our boy can now have his operation and live a life free from suffocation π
We want to thank everyone who liked, commented and shared Louie's posts to help spread the word, and a HUGE thank you to each of these amazing people who donated: Shirley, Amy, R W, Dawn, Sarah, Paula, Nathan, Wendy & Gary, Erica, Fiona, Mark, Imagin, Beau, Natalie, Ashleigh, Jeanette, Pierre the Frenchie, Rebecca, Sarah K, Heidi, Sally, Georgia, Chelle, Bridget, Annette, Daisy & Silas (and Sara), Charley-Jayne, Nicholas, Anne A, Roxanne, Julie B, Anne P, Tray, Debs, Iyisha, and 20 anonymous people.
